Urine Samples

Urine samples that require testing by the nursing team can only be accepted between 8am and 1pm daily.

This is due to hospital courier times and means we will be unable to accept urine samples outside of these times as they will get spoiled.

Please ensure your specimen is provided within one of our urine pots.  Any other containers will be rejected due to contamination risks. Please write your name, date of birth, and date of specimen on the container.

Samples requested by a clinician and are being handed over in a specimen bag with a pre-printed form can be handed in up to 3.30pm daily.
