PATIENTS CHARTER
Our mission
Wickhambrook Surgery is a long established GP practice committed to caring for the health of its local communities. We will listen, communicate honestly and work with our patients collaboratively.
We believe in:
- Putting your welfare at the heart of all we do
- Treating you fairly with respect and courtesy at all times
- Providing you with advice and treatment that is always personal, holistic and compassionate
- Providing information and supporting you in making decisions about your health
- Collaborating effectively with others involved in your care (with your consent)
- Acting as your advocate and guide through health care services
- Maintaining confidentiality in what we discuss and the records we keep on your behalf
- Keeping up to date by pursuing a forward-looking, adaptable approach to healthcare
- Having highly satisfied patients demonstrated by your feedback and comments
In return we ask you to:
- Keep your appointment and/or let us know as soon as possible if you cannot keep it
- Only use urgent out-of-hours services for genuinely urgent conditions which cannot wait until the next day - or, over weekends, for a Monday appointment
- Be polite and courteous to our staff and let us know how we are doing and what we could do differently. It helps our team continuously to learn and improve
- Raise any cause for concern or complaint as soon as possible with our practice manager
- Support us in training future GPs and doctors who will come to our practice to learn
